Job summary

Dermatology Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The MA will work with the Clinical Manager and Physician to deliver dermatologic care, with on-site training and a reimbursement for a Derm Tech course before start.

Starting pay is $22.50/hour for a full-time role, with benefits, 401(k) and discounted cosmetic treatments. Responsibilities include rooming patients, assisting with procedures, taking histories, preparing patients for exams, and handling calls and

Qualifications

• Medical assistant diploma and CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Professional demeanor and privacy considerations for patients.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform rooming techniques and assist physicians with procedures.
• Support physicians with exams, history-taking, biopsies, and select procedures.
• Handle patient calls and relay information between patient and physician.
• Maintain the pathology process accurately.
• Assist with sutures, dressings, and patch testing as ordered.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and medications.
• Sterilize equipment and rooms.
• Triage patients and coordinate care with teams.
• Document patient needs concisely and clearly.
• Other duties as assigned.
