Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant for our dermatology practice in Avon, CT. The MA will support physicians and clinicians, prepare exam rooms, take vitals, and document in the EHR to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires graduation from an accredited MA program and a High School Diploma or GED, with English communication mandatory and Polish bilingualism preferred. Occasional travel to satellite offices is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• English communication skills required; bilingual in Polish preferred where applicable.
• Willingness to commute to satellite offices as needed and proficient with basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and assist physicians, PAs, or NPs during visits.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and accurate vitals (BP, temp, pulse, height/weight).
• Document in EHR and update medication lists and allergies per policy.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals in PMS/EHR; ensure accuracy.
• Stock examination rooms and assist with supplies and equipment maintenance.
• Provide scribing support and communicate issues to supervisors promptly.
