Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Lombard, IL is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join the Dermatology team. You will greet patients, assist with registration, schedule appointments, and measure vital signs, while supporting physicians during examinations and minor procedures.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program and active MA certification, with CPR certification or willingness to obtain it; phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher health sciences coursework required.
• Active medical assistant certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA required.
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2+ years in medical office assisting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, and obtaining health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor procedures, dressings, and first aid.
• May assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist with prescription requests and pharmacy callbacks; update charting.
• Conduct onsite labs (EKG, PFT, blood glucose, urine pregnancy tests).
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms and deliver excellent patient service.
• Travel to assist other local clinics as needed.
