Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Lombard, IL is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join a physician-led team and support patient care across registration, vitals, and clinical tasks. The role involves assisting physicians, performing basic first aid, and possibly immunizations or injections under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant program or higher, active MA certification in AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of medical office experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active MA certification through one of AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA.
• CPR certification or willing to become certified on hire.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years' experience in a medical office assisting with patient care; MA/CMA/CNA/EMT accepted.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Support physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• MA/CMA may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.

• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
