Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Naperville is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Dermatology team. You will support physicians during exams, register patients, take vital signs, and collect health histories in a fast-paced clinic.

This full-time role requires MA training and possible certifications; CPR is expected or obtained on hire. Travel to other sites may be required for coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or higher education in health sciences or related experience is required.
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified on hire is required.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years in a medical office assisting with patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests and coordinate with pharmacy callbacks and provider orders.
• Update charting and filing; maintain organized patient rooms and documentation.
• Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience

CPR certification

Phlebotomy certification (within 90 days of hire)

Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience in medical office assisting with patient care
