Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for the Long Beach clinic. The role focuses on patient preparation, histories, and assisting physicians in exams and cosmetic procedures.

You will manage lab specimens, scribe notes, maintain rooms, and support back-office operations in a fast-paced dermatology setting. Requires 2–3 years in a medical office, Medical Assistant training, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant training required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.

Aufgaben

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
• Enter complete medical histories along with patients’ current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow‑up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
