Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced dermatology clinic. You will take medical histories, document medications, assist with biopsies and cosmetic procedures, and manage room preparation, lab specimens, and follow-up scheduling.

Prior dermatology experience is preferred; MA training is required, with strong communication and organizational skills crucial for success in a growing practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant training is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Assist Physician/Provider by scribing notes in the patient's medical record.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-ups.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
