Central Dermatology Center, PA is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Cary-based team. The role requires assisting providers, preparing exam rooms, taking medical histories, and acting as a scribe to document visits.

Must have CMA/CCMA/RMA or CMA-related certification and experience with EHR systems. Strong communication, empathy, and attention to detail are essential for success in a fast-paced dermatology environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience as a Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records required.
• Ability to work well with physicians and extenders and anticipate their needs.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers in examination, treatment and documentation of patient care.
• Prepare examination rooms.
• Obtain thorough medical histories and medication lists.
• Scribe for the provider documenting history, medications, exam and plan.
• Obtain informed consents for in-office procedures.
• Assist with exams, biopsies, procedures, dressing changes, sutures, testing.
• Perform phlebotomy as directed.
• Complete pathology and lab requisitions.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and expectations.
• Answer inquiries from patients and families; respond to urgent situations.
