Job summary

The University of Utah Health Dermatology Clinic in Murray, UT seeks a PS Medical Assistant I to support dermatology care. You will prepare patients, assist licensed staff, and handle basic clerical tasks, including charting and billing entries.

Travel to multiple locations may be required; responsibilities include performing CLIA waved lab tests, injections, and assisting with exams; must complete required education and CPR/BLS training.

Qualifications

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One of: EMT course, MA experience in ambulatory care, Medical Assisting education, or MA certification program.
• Eligible to travel to multiple locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examinations and procedures.
• Reports patient concerns to licensed staff.
• Performs CLIA-waved lab tests and may perform patient phlebotomy.
• Performs injections (IM, Subq, intradermal) and suture removal.
• Acts as chaperone during examinations and assists with procedures.
