Job summary

The University of Utah Health Dermatology Clinic in Murray, UT is seeking a Health Care Assistant to provide assistive care in our dermatology clinics. This role may travel to several locations, including Midvalley and Salt Lake pediatric clinics, to support patient care.

The incumbent supports licensed staff, helps prepare patients for exams, and handles clerical tasks. Immunization per CDC standards is required; RN/CNA paths and results are noted for certification progression.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant certification or approved nursing program status.
• RQI eCredential obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Immunization per CDC standards or valid exemptions where allowed.

Responsibilities

• Acts as chaperone and assists licensed staff with hands-on patient care.
• Prepares patients for examinations; records vitals and basic history.
• Educates patients and families as delegated by care providers.
• Maintains and cleans exam rooms; restocks supplies as needed.
• Documents data related to direct patient care and communicates with clinic staff.
• May schedule appointments and retrieve test results.
