The University of Utah Health is seeking a Health Care Assistant for Dermatology who will provide assistive care in our clinics, support licensed staff, and help with clerical tasks as needed. This position may travel to the Midvalley, pediatric, and Rose Park clinics to support patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, assisting with examinations, documenting data, coordinating with clinic staff, and scheduling appointments.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or enrollment in approved nursing education program.
• RN program completion window as described by the institution.
• RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Acts as chaperone and assists licensed providers with patient care.
• Prepares patients for examinations and records vitals and history.
• Educates patients and families as delegated by staff.
• Monitors rooms and equipment and restocks supplies as needed.
• Documents data related to direct patient care activities.
• Communicates with clinic staff, physicians, patients and visitors.
• May order or retrieve laboratory results and schedule appointments.
