Job summary

EverOak Dermatology & Aesthetics Center in Celina, Texas is seeking a true hybrid Medical Assistant to handle both clinical and front-office duties. The role requires dermatology experience and a minimum of two years in medical assisting, with responsibilities spanning patient check-in, rooming, procedures, documentation, and scheduling.

Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience, with standard hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Previous dermatology experience required.
• Familiarity with medical front-desk responsibilities.
• Understanding of health insurance terminology, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, eligibility, and in-network/out-of-network benefits.
• Willingness to learn insurance eligibility and benefit verification.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable assisting with dermatologic procedures.
• Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, obtaining histories, and preparing patients for dermatologic examinations and procedures.
• Assisting the dermatologist with dermatology visits, skin exams, biopsies, excisions, and other procedures.
• Preparing procedure trays, rooms, supplies and instruments.
• Assisting with specimen handling, laboratory and pathology workflows.
• Clinical documentation and EMR workflows.
• Handling prescriptions, prior authorizations, referrals, and follow-ups.
