Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinicians in delivering high-quality dermatology care. You will verify patient information, collect medical histories, and assist during examinations in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires experience in a medical office, HIPAA knowledge, and familiarity with ICD-10/CPT coding. In-office phlebotomy and procedure scheduling are included in daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in medical office.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (preferred).
• Familiarity with ModMed EMA EMR (preferred).
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history and confirming purpose of visit.
• Enter medical history and visit information into EHR.
• Escort patients to exam room.
• Assisting physician during medical examination and procedures.
• Schedule medical procedures and notify patients of pathology and lab results.
• Pharmacy communications and in-office phlebotomy.
• Prepare patients for exams and manage supplies and instruments.
