Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks Medical Assistant I–III across multiple levels at its Houston locations. All levels contribute to patient care under licensed professionals, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels.

Pay ranges from $16.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment and experience. Benefits and career development opportunities are provided in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant or 1+ year of related experience without certification/registration.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Basic medical/nursing terminology.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort per standards.
• Perform delegated tasks as directed by a physician or RN.
• MA II: Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks; requires additional experience/certification.
• MA III: Perform high-level clinical procedures and serve as a resource for less experienced staff.
