Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring Medical Assistant I–III at our Houston sites. Selected candidates will be placed at the appropriate level based on credentials and experience and will support patient care under licensed professionals.

Roles span entry to advanced clinical duties across multiple levels. Pay includes a comprehensive benefits package, with opportunities for development into higher responsibilities and recognition programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• No experience required with a certification/registration as a Medical Assistant OR 1 year of directly related Medical Assistant experience without certification/registration.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Computer proficiency
• Basic medical/nursing terminology

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in accordance with legal and professional standards.
• Perform delegated tasks as directed by a physician or RN.
• Includes all duties of MA I; adminster injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks; requires additional experience and/or certification.
• Includes all duties of MA I and II; perform high-level clinical procedures; serve as a resource for less experienced staff.
