Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Delran, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to perform high-quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a dermatology setting. Prior healthcare experience is required and Dermatology experience is preferred.

Availability Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays during operating hours. Promote a welcoming, professional environment, assist physicians with procedures, manage patient flow, and handle room prep and inventory.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient relations and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations and procedures.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider's next steps.
• Prep rooms before and after patients and check equipment at start of shift.
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions.
• Inventory management and stocking of supplies and equipment.
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.
