Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Full‑Time Medical Assistant for our Wayne, NJ office. The Medical Assistant will perform high‑quality clinical, medical, and clerical tasks in a busy dermatology setting with prior healthcare experience required.

Qualifications

Dermatology experience required.
Healthcare experience required.
Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
Strong computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent patient relations and customer service abilities.
Open availability during weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers.
Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures and prescriptions.
Manage patient flow and anticipate next steps with the provider.
Prepare rooms and ensure equipment is ready at shift start.
Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
Monitor supplies, perform inventory and alert leadership of low stock.
Attend internal training and continuing education opportunities.
