Forefront Dermatology in Athens, AL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology visits, room patients, scribe for the dermatologist, and assist with procedures. Qualifications

• Post high-school education in a medical support field: CMA, LPN, or RN.
• Non-Certified Medical Assistants must complete Forefront Derm Tech certification within prescribed time.
• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant, DERM Tech a plus.
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations.
• Willingness to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Must possess organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documenting all vital information.
• Scribing information for the dermatologist.
• Providing post op wound care to patients.
• Drawing blood and suture removal.
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms.
• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Assist the dermatologist with procedures such as: biopsies, Mohs surgery, phototherapy, injections, andother dermatology tasks.
