Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a professional Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced dermatology clinic in Santa Barbara. You will support physicians by documenting medical histories, preparing patients, and assisting with biopsies and cosmetic procedures.

Ideal candidates have a CMA background or medical assistant training, plus strong communication and compassionate patient care. The role requires 2-3 years of medical office experience and proficiency with EMR systems, with a focus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant training required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare them for the examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Scribe notes in the patient’s medical record for physicians/providers.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, schedule follow-ups.
