Job summary

Plymouth Dermatology Associates P is seeking a General Dermatology Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced dermatology practice. The role includes patient preparation, assisting providers, and performing delegated clinical tasks to keep the clinic moving efficiently.

Responsibilities span pre-visit readiness, intra-visit support, and post-visit documentation, with emphasis on accurate EMR entries and smooth coordination of follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Certification CMA or CCMA required.
• Experience in a clinic setting, dermatology preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Experience scribing or documenting visit in real time.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and rooms before visits.
• Assist dermatology provider during examinations.
• Handle clinical tasks and prepare procedure trays.
• Photograph lesions and document locations per protocol.
• Document visit details in EMR during patient encounters.
• Coordinate follow-up procedures and tests.
• Maintain inventory and comply with HIPAA requirements.
