Job summary

Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant I for a full-time role at our West Jordan Dermatology Clinic. Mohs experience is REQUIRED and you will work closely with physicians, PAs, nurses and other staff to ensure patient comfort and care throughout visits.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, previous medical office experience, and be able to communicate professionally with patients and clinic staff.

Qualifications

• Mohs experience REQUIRED.
• Previous medical office experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare in advance required information for patient visits.
• Greet, room and complete patient intake interview.
• Convey patient intake information to treating provider, accompany provider during patient exam.
• Accurately transcribe information into the chart as provider examines patient, discusses the treatment/plan of care.
• Assist provider with educating patients on proposed treatment plan, procedure instructions and more.
• Return patient phone calls in a timely manner, compassionately relaying information between provider & patient.
• Adequately document all patient interactions in electronic medical record.
• Assist procedure team with transferring patients from procedure table.
• Assist patients from wheelchair to recovery chair.
• Instruct patients on after-care instructions
• Provide patients with follow up plan, scheduling
• Other duties as assigned
