Job summary

Schweiger is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant - Mohs at our Rykowski Lane Office. The MA-Mohs will support medical, surgical, and clerical tasks in a dermatology setting, with prior healthcare experience required. We welcome graduates and gap-year students pursuing the medical field.

Schedule is part-time (<30 hours/week) with availability Monday–Friday and rotating Saturdays within 7:00am–7:30pm. Join a team-focused environment with extensive training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations and procedures.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prep rooms before/after patients and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Monitor inventory and stock supplies/equipment as requested.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.
