Job summary

Granger Medical Clinic in West Jordan is seeking a Medical Assistant I for a full-time role at our Dermatology Clinic. Mohs experience REQUIRED.

You will be part of a healthcare team supporting physicians, PAs, nurses and technicians to provide a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include preparing for visits, greeting patients, documenting information in the EMR, assisting during examinations, educating patients on plans, returning calls, and supporting the procedure team.

Qualifications

• Mohs experience REQUIRED.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience strongly preferred.
• Healthcare training or certification strongly desired.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare in advance required information for patient visits.
• Greet, room and complete patient intake interview.
• Convey patient intake information to treating provider and accompany during exams.
• Accurately transcribe information into the chart during examination and plan discussion.
• Assist provider with educating patients on proposed treatment plan and instructions.
• Return patient calls promptly and relay information between provider and patient.
• Document all patient interactions in the EMR and assist with transfer to recovery chairs.
• Instruct patients on after-care and follow-up scheduling.
• Support the procedure team with patient transfers and related tasks.
