Job summary

Anne Arundel Dermatology’s Academic Alliance in Dermatology in Tampa, FL is hiring a PRN Histology Technician to support embedding, microtomy, and slide production in our dermatopathology lab.

The role requires HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification, a Florida Histology license, and at least two years of histology experience; duties include processing, staining, IHC, and quality control.

Qualifications

• HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification required
• Florida License in Histology required
• Minimum 2 years histology lab experience (specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, fixation)
• Experience with Special Stains and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) preferred

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and embed tissues; produce high-quality slides.
• Perform microtomy and H&E staining; maintain slide quality.
• Operate Special Stain and IHC instrumentation; validate controls.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with pathologists and team.
