Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist (dermatology experience a plus).
• Certification as a Medical Receptionist preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling systems.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy.
• Verify insurance plans, terminology, and verification processes.
• Greet, check in patients, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist Medical Assistants with patient-related calls and follow-up tasks.
• Schedule appointments in person, by phone, or email to optimize provider time and patient satisfaction.
• Maintain and update patient accounts, including personal and financial information.
