Job summary

Galen Medical Group is seeking a friendly Clerical Support/Receptionist for its Dermatology department in the Chattanooga region. You will greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, and function as a switchboard/appointment scheduler as needed.

Ideal candidates will have basic computer skills, high school diploma, and a customer-service mindset. Medical receptionist experience is preferred and HIPAA/OSHA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Above-average spelling skills.
• Preferred: 2-3 years’ medical receptionist experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner.
• Check-In and Check-Out of patients.
• Enter and update demographic and insurance information in the PMS.
• Scan insurance cards and verify coverage.
• Collect Co-pays, co-insurance, and balances per site protocol.
• Reconcile cash, checks, and credit card payments daily.
