Job summary

OnSpot Dermatology is seeking a friendly Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our The Villages, FL office part-time. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and schedule appointments in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

This role requires 1 year of medical office or customer service experience, excellent communication, and a team-oriented attitude. Availability Tuesday each week and some Saturdays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or customer service role.
• Dermatology experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Availability to work every Tuesday is required and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
• Check patients in and out while ensuring demographic and insurance information is accurate.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays, balances, and product payments.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and general inquiries.
• Maintain an organized appointment schedule and communicate any delays or changes.
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
• Help create a welcoming, organized, and positive office environment.
• Assist with other front desk and administrative duties as needed.
