Job summary

The University of South Florida Department of Dermatology seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to diagnose, monitor and treat acute and chronic dermatologic illnesses. The APP will provide on-site medical triage, teach PA students, coordinate rotations, and contribute to research and protocol development.

Qualifications

• Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution; eligible for Instructor rank.
• Degree Equivalency Clause allows four years direct experience for a bachelor’s degree; SB 1310 compliance.
• Minimum qualifications require graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant academic degree program and related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, monitor and treat acute and chronic Dermatologic illnesses; perform minor procedures and contribute to cosmetic surgery program development.
• Support PA student education by coordinating clinical rotations and serving as a liaison between students, faculty and external institutions.
• Assist with patient recruitment and coordination of referrals to study teams.
• Provide medical triage on site and by telephone; develop preceptorships and CME activities as directed.
• May represent the university and contribute to teaching, research, and administrative activities.
