Job summary

University Health Associates (UHA) Dermatology Division seeks an Advanced Practice Professional to coordinate dermatology patient care. The APP collaborates with physicians and nursing staff to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients, while educating residents and students as applicable.

Eligible new graduates are considered; advanced practice roles require appropriate licensure and national certification in West Virginia.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master's Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• BLS Certification required with ACLS at department discretion.

Responsibilities

• Completes consults and emergent evaluations.
• Orders tests or consults as appropriate with Dermatology faculty guidance.
• Performs diagnostic tests and communicates results.
• Coordinates discharge planning and follow-up in clinic or care locations.
• Documents plan of care and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborates with Dermatology staff to improve patient outcomes.
• Provides education to nursing staff, patients, and families.
