Job summary

Mercor is hiring experienced U.S. Dermatologists for non-clinical image annotation projects to support AI model development in dermatology. You will apply clinical expertise to review skin images and guide model outputs without direct patient care.

The role emphasizes accuracy, medical terminology, and adherence to project standards, with English fluency required and licensing active in the U.S. This position offers opportunities to influence safe, evidence-based AI in healthcare.

Qualifications

• MD with active, unrestricted US medical license.
• 5 years post-residency dermatology experience required.
• Ability to describe dermatological conditions with precise medical terminology.
• Prior image annotation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review high-resolution clinical images of skin lesions and identify dermatological conditions.
• Describe images with key medical attributes (color, shape, morphology, distribution).
• Assess skin health, severity, or progression from images and validate AI assessments clinically.
• Provide clinical insight to improve model understanding and classification of dermatological presentations.
• Write guidelines and criteria for high-quality dermatological image assessments.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to medical and project standards.
