Job summary

Mercor is recruiting experienced U.S. Dermatologists to contribute to image-based AI projects, applying clinical expertise to validate and annotate skin-image datasets used for dermatology models.

This is a non-clinical role with no direct patient care, requiring precise medical terminology and strong dermatology background. Remote-friendly setup supports global medical innovation and high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• MD with active, unrestricted US medical license.
• Minimum 5 years post-residency dermatology experience.
• Experience with image annotation or medical education preferred.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Review high-resolution clinical images of skin lesions and identify dermatological conditions.
• Describe images with key medical attributes (color, shape, morphology, distribution).
• Assess skin health, severity, or progression from images and evaluate AI-generated assessments against clinical standards.
• Write guidelines and criteria defining high-quality dermatological image assessments.
• Provide clinical insight to improve model understanding and classification of dermatological presentations.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to medical and project standards.
