In this role, you will apply your clinical expertise to image-based projects that help develop and evaluate AI models for dermatology.

This is a non-clinical position with no direct patient care. You will provide clinical insight to ensure AI outputs align with real-world dermatology standards and contribute to guidelines,

Qualifications

• MD with active, unrestricted US medical license.
• 5+ years post-residency dermatology clinical experience.
• Ability to describe dermatological conditions with precise medical terminology.
• Experience with image annotation or medical education preferred.
• English fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Review high-resolution clinical images of skin lesions and identify conditions.
• Describe images with key medical attributes (color, shape, morphology, distribution).
• Assess skin health, severity, or progression from images and evaluate AI assessments.
• Write guidelines and criteria for high-quality dermatological image assessments.
• Provide clinical insight to improve model understanding and classification.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to medical and project standards.

This is a non-clinical position — there is no direct patient care. Your work will help ensure model-generated medical outputs align with real-world clinical reasoning and dermatological standards of care.

Responsibilities

Work will vary by project and may include:

• Reviewing high-resolution clinical images of skin lesions and identifying dermatological conditions.
• Describing images with key medical attributes, including lesion color, shape, morphology, and distribution.
• Assessing skin health, severity, or progression from images, and evaluating how well AI-generated assessments hold up clinically.
• Writing clear guidelines and criteria that define what a high-quality dermatological assessment of an image looks like.
• Providing clinical insight to improve model understanding and classification of dermatological presentations.
• Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to medical and project standards.

Requirements

• Medical degree (M.D.) with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
• Minimum of 5 years post-residency clinical dermatology experience (practicing or previously practiced).
• Strong ability to identify and describe dermatological conditions using precise medical terminology.
• Prior experience with image annotation or medical education preferred.
• English fluency required.
