Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Dermatology physician to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient dermatology care at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.

The incumbent will manage patients with chronic conditions, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to education and quality assurance programs. Applicants must have an MD/DO degree, an unrestricted license in the United States, and VA-approved residency for board eligibility, with proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved medical school
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine/surgery in the US
• Residency training approved by VA for board eligibility
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultative inpatient and outpatient Dermatology care at the SBYVAMC
• Manage patients with chronic conditions in outpatient and collaborative settings
• Coordinate patient care with other services and document clearly
• Perform exam, testing, and biopsy as appropriate; participate in procedures
• Collaborate with midlevel providers and physicians with clear communication
• Participate in quality assurance, CME activities, and department meetings
