Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible per VA policy.
- Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine/surgery in a U.S. state/territory/DC.
- Residency training approved by VA for board eligibility.
- Board certification or eligible for faculty status if in training.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Perform and record history and physical examinations for veterans.
- Evaluate, consult, diagnose, and manage care for patients.
- Enter progress notes and workload documentation in the EHR.
- Provide medical care for acute and chronic conditions and preventive care.
- Order diagnostics, medications, and tests and follow up on results.
- Educate patients about conditions and treatments and coordinate with specialties.
