Job summary

MassMutual seeks an Investment Accounting Associate II to support derivatives accounting and close processes within the Investment Controllership team. The role interacts with Investment Management and Operations across a dynamic, agile environment and reports to the Director of Derivatives Controllership.

The ideal candidate will bring multi-year experience in investment accounting, strong Excel abilities, and a keenness to improve processes and controls in a complex corporate setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4+ years in investment accounting or financial reporting
• Strong Excel skills with complex formulas, PivotTables, and large datasets
• Experience with investment GAAP and statutory accounting incl. Schedule DB

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles for derivatives
• Collaborate with Investment Management and Operations on close cycles
• Support system improvements and implementations
• Prepare internal and external audit requests
• Identify accounting improvements to increase efficiency
