Job summary

Neuberger Berman, a global asset management firm, is seeking a Derivatives Assistant to support the Legal & Compliance team. The role handles setup and maintenance of OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, coordinates with trading counterparties, and manages KYC/AML requests.

Responsibilities include updating entity information in databases, managing ISDA Amend data exchanges, and maintaining derivative agreement files.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2+ years in a role with familiarity with trading and/or derivatives documentation.
• Prior experience as a Derivatives Assistant at a law firm is a plus.
• Foundational knowledge of legal entity types, structures, and signature blocks.
• Working knowledge of KYC/AML processes.
• Proficiency with MS Word (track changes), Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate setup and maintenance of OTC and exchange-traded derivatives documents.
• Coordinate with counterparties through credit review processes and data requests.
• Maintain legal entity information in databases (GMEI Utility, ISDA Amend).
• Manage questionnaires in Markit/ISDA Amend Document Exchange.
• Track negotiations with banks and brokers; respond to KYC/AML requests.
• Maintain accurate files of derivative agreements and credit terms.
