Job summary

Neuberger, an independent, employee-owned global asset management firm, seeks an experienced Derivatives Assistant to join the Legal & Compliance team in New York. You will support the derivatives documentation process, coordinate with trading counterparties, and manage onboarding and compliance documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with trading and/or derivatives documentation.
• Knowledge of legal entity types, structures, and signature blocks.
• Familiarity with KYC/AML processes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the setup and maintenance of derivatives documents.
• Coordinate with counterparties through the credit review process.
• Update legal entity info in online databases (GMEI Utility, ISDA Amend).
• Manage questionnaires in Markit/ISDA Amend Document Exchange.
• Track negotiations with banks and brokers.
• Respond to KYC/AML requests and oversee providers.
• Maintain files of derivative agreements and terms in the system.
• Collaborate with business units, operations, risk and tax.
• Escalate risks to ensure onboarding is completed correctly.
