Unknown Client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Derivatives Operations Analyst to join the OTC Portfolio Operations & Confirmations team in New York. The role supports a broad range of derivative products across asset classes with high attention to detail and strong operational expertise.

Responsibilities include drafting and validating confirmations, collaborating with Trading, Legal, and Operations, and resolving discrepancies to ensure timely confirmations.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in derivatives operations, confirmations, or OTC products.
• Strong understanding of confirmation drafting and lifecycle processes.
• Experience with ISDA documentation and definitions across asset classes is a plus.

This role sits within a fast-paced environment supporting a broad range of derivative products across multiple asset classes and requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and operational expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and execute trade confirmations across asset classes including Rates, Equities, FX, and Commodities
• Validate and reconcile inbound trade documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Partner with internal stakeholders including Trading, Sales, Legal, and Operations to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely confirmations
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, handling trade-related inquiries and confirmation disputes
• Support structured transaction workflows in collaboration with legal and front office teams
• Maintain adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices

Operations & Process Support

• Assist with onboarding activities for new derivatives clients
• Contribute to daily operational workflows and process improvements within the confirmations team
• Support management on ad hoc initiatives and special projects

Required Experience & Skills

• 2–5 years of experience within derivatives operations, confirmations, or OTC products
• Strong understanding of confirmation drafting and lifecycle processes
• Experience working with ISDA documentation and definitions across one or more asset classes is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiarity with trade capture or derivatives processing systems
