Job Description
Derivatives Operation – This position is within the Derivative Operations function as a member of the OTC portfolio operations and confirmations team. Depending on need, your specific function within Operations you may be responsible for, but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- OTC Operations: Responsible for drafting and signing confirmations for derivative products across all relevant asset classes (Rates, Equity, FX, Commodities.)
- Responsible for the review and verification of inbound documentation for all derivative products.
- Act as liaison on behalf of the Derivatives Confirmation team to clients as well as numerous internal partners across the firm.
- Interface and close communication with trading, marketing staff worldwide, and client requests regarding trade detail verification and applicable disputes.
- Work with marketers and legal staff on preparation of confirmations for structured transactions.
- Completion of all other daily processes relevant to the OTC portfolio operations and confirmations team.
- Assist in certain onboarding processes for new derivatives clients initiated by Front Office Personnel Assist Manager of OTC Operations with special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills: Experience and Skills required
- 2-5 years relevant industry experience. Preference to prior experience supporting Equity Derivatives, in addition to any other OTC Derivative asset class.
- Proficiency in transactional deal confirmation drafting and review.
- Experience and knowledge working with the ISDA Definitions to each relevant asset class (Rates, Equity, FX, Commodities.) Ability to effectively communicate to senior stakeholders at the firm, both written and verbal.
- Organizational skill with ability to support numerous competing tasks simultaneously.
- Required computer skills include Office specifically Word, Excel, Outlook. Ability to navigate and understand derivatives trade capture software.
