Job summary

Eversource Energy in the United States is seeking a Distributed Energy Resource Planning Senior Engineer within the Distribution System Planning group. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Five or more years of relevant engineering experience in electric utility planning, power systems analysis, DER integration, distribution engineering, or a related field.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain distribution system power flow models to evaluate DER interconnections and their impacts.
• Assess and analyze DER interconnections and ISO‑NE impacts and prepare documentation for the interconnection process.
• Conduct engineering studies and develop planning-level solutions and technical recommendations.
• Apply engineering standards and regulatory requirements in planning work.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify planning needs and proposed plans.
• Prepare high-level construction cost estimates and support project approvals.
