Eversource Energy, a major electric utility in the United States, seeks a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Planning Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership in planning, evaluation, and integration of distributed energy resources into the electric distribution grid.

You will lead complex analyses, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enable reliable grid modernization while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective project execution.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in electric utility planning.
• EIT or PE licensure preferred; progress toward licensure acceptable.
• Experience with DER integration and distribution planning.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of ISO-NE processes preferred.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain distribution system power flow models for DER interconnections.
• Assess DER interconnections and impacts on the distribution and ISO-NE systems.
• Lead complex engineering studies and develop planning‑level solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present project results.
• Prepare cost estimates and support project approval documentation.
