Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Planning Engineer in Massachusetts to provide DER power system studies and project development support. You will model and analyze generation and storage Interconnections with the distribution network, ensuring reliable integration and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
3+ years of professional power systems experience; utility background preferred.
Proficiency with power system modeling and simulation tools.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Develop distribution system power flow models using Synergi and PSCAD.
Assess DER interconnection impacts on distribution and ISO-NE systems.
Prepare documentation for ISO-NE interconnection processes as needed.
Review interconnection queue applications and provide feasibility assessments.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine planning needs.
Ensure technical feasibility and sound engineering practices.
