Austin Energy in Austin, TX is seeking a Power System Engineer (DER) to join the DER Integration team. You’ll design and analyze electric utility facilities, focusing on microgrids, solar, and storage integration into the distribution system.

Responsibilities include performing power system studies, developing drawings, and supporting regulatory compliance with NERC, ERCOT, and TX PUC standards while collaborating with field personnel.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least five years of related experience.
• Experience with DER, microgrids, solar and storage is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis and design.

Responsabilidades

• Design and assist in designing electric utility facilities including generation and distribution.
• Conduct power system studies: protection, load flow, reliability, and voltage stability.
• Prepare schematics, control diagrams, and SCADA/EMS documents with engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with field teams to energize projects and ensure regulatory compliance.
