ENERCON is seeking a Distribution Planning Engineer to lead DER impact studies and guide hosting capacity, voltage regulation, and protection coordination within our electric utility distribution planning team. This role can be located at any ENERCON office or remotely within the US.

You will model distribution systems using WindMil, CYME, and Synergi, perform scenario analyses, and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory filings.

Competenze

• Typically requires 6 years of experience in electric utility distribution planning with a focus on DER integration.
• Strong understanding of distribution system operations, protection, and planning principles.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (WindMil, CYME, Synergi).
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and interconnection standards (IEEE 1547, FERC, NERC).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.

• DER Analysis & Impact Studies: conduct hosting capacity, voltage regulation, thermal loading, protection coordination, and power quality analyses.
• Modeling & Simulation: perform steady-state/dynamic simulations; develop and maintain distribution models; run scenario analyses.
• Communication & Documentation: prepare technical reports, presentations, and filings for stakeholders.
