Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Planning Engineer to lead and support DER impact studies for the electric utility distribution planning team.

The role allows location at any Enercon office or remote within the US, with a compensation range of USD 100,000.00 - USD 175,000.00 per year. The candidate should have a strong background in DER integration, protection coordination, and planning principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Typically requires 6 years of experience in electric utility distribution planning with a focus on DER integration.
• Strong understanding of distribution system operations, protection, and planning principles.
• Familiarity with IEEE 1547, FERC, and NERC.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience with hosting capacity analysis and locational value assessments preferred.
• Knowledge of DERMS, AMI, and ADMS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support DER impact studies that shape the future of energy.
• Modeling, simulation, and scenario analyses of distribution networks.
• Prepare technical reports and regulatory filings for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to planning process improvements.
