Qualifications

• License: valid California Driver License; out-of-state license accepted during application.
• Education: US high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or higher degree from accredited college/university.
• Citizenship: US citizen or permanent resident eligible for citizenship.
• Age: must be 21 years old at appointment.
• Physical: must meet health standards prescribed by County Medical Consultant.
• Vision: 20/20 uncorrected, corrected to 20/30.
• Hearing: no more than 25 dB loss in specified frequencies.
• Background: polygraph, medical, and psychological screenings.
