Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Project Manager trainee to learn how to supervise project staff, prepare strategic plans and budgets, and develop comprehensive project plans.

The position involves analysis of data, coordination with stakeholders, and ensuring project milestones align with schedules and budgets. The role requires a BS in Engineering, 5+ years of construction-related experience, and the ability to read complex drawings. Clearances and travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (EE or related) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience on construction projects ranging from $500k to $10M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specs, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Knowledge of CPM Scheduling and construction planning.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
• Maintain as-builts and document project issues/conditions.
• Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Prepare estimates for partially designed projects and finalize project estimates.
• Confer with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues.
