Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Deputy Project Manager in the Fort Meade area as a training position to learn supervising and directing project staff, preparing strategic plans and budgets, and developing comprehensive project plans while analyzing data.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 5+ years in construction or electrical contracting, and a background with CPM scheduling, contract drawings, and change orders. Must meet security eligibility including Top-Secret clearance with SCI.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 5+ years of experience.
Experience working for electrical or construction contractor.
Experience on projects from $500k to $10M.
Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals.

Responsibilities

Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section.
Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
Price, track and manage change orders.
Plan and monitor cash flow against expenses.
Maintain as-builts and document project issues/conditions.
Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
Develop goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish work.
Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
Prepare estimates for partially designed projects and complete project estimates.
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters.
