Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Deputy Project Leader for a leadership role on-site at Fayetteville, NC. The position focuses on supporting project teams, creating strategic plans and budgets, and developing comprehensive project plans for telecom and security systems projects.

The Deputy Project Leader will guide a multidisciplinary team, review construction documents, manage schedules using CPM, and ensure timely delivery within complex markets including federal aviation and higher

Qualifications

5+ years with a telecom integrator or electrical contractor
Experience reviewing construction docs: drawings, specs, addenda, RFIs, subcontracts
4+ years in complex markets on projects for Federal Aviation, Government Airports, Higher Education, Information Transit Systems
Experience installing Information Transport Systems
Proficient with MS Office, CPM scheduling, cost modeling and AutoCAD
Familiar with electrical and security system plans and construction documents
Up to 25% travel; valid license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Collaborate with supervisors, owners, contractors and design teams to resolve construction issues and ensure project execution
Understand Telecommunication Systems including Fiber Optic, Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, and DAS
Coordinate procurement of materials and track tools, equipment, and resources
Facilitate and support day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section
Monitor project deadlines for decisions, RFIs, and documentation of discussions and agreements
