Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) to support data center build-out projects in the Charlotte region. On-site in Charleston, SC, the role focuses on estimating, scheduling, and financial management to deliver mission-critical infrastructure for secure government operations.

Responsibilities include bid-to-closeout oversight, CPM scheduling, and detailed cost estimation.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience managing telecommunications or low-voltage infrastructure projects.
Proficient with Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel for scheduling and financial tracking.
Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems (fiber optics, structured cabling, CCTV, OSP/ISP, DAS)
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Support projects from bid through closeout, including estimating, scheduling, and execution oversight.
Develop and manage project schedules using CPM methodology in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Build detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, subcontractors, travel, and equipment.
Track and manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of telecom infrastructure projects.
